About Regina R. Allen DVM
Regina R. Allen DVM is a retired Small Animal/Emergency Veterinarian who graduated from the Virgina-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She has been training and showing her and other people’s dogs for over 25 years, and has titled in nearly every event AKC offers as well as in several non-AKC sports. She trained and trialed her Manchester Terrier “Quest” to the very first Nosework Championship in the breed when they recently earned her NACSW ELT-CH (National Association of Canine Scent Work Elite Champion). She also bred and showed multiple AKC Conformation Champions and Grand Champions, trained and showed a father-daughter pair of Toy Manchester Terriers to both Conformation Specialty Wins and CDX (Companion Dog Excellent) titles, and trained and showed the 9th MACH (Master Agility Champion) Manchester Terrier at the AKC National Agility Invitational three times. Overall, her dogs have titled in Conformation, Obedience, Rally, Agility, Nosework/Scent Work, Coursing, FAST CAT, Parkour, Musical Freestyle, Tricks, Fitness, Temperament Testing, and Canine Good Citizen. Dr. Allen utilizes clicker training and shaping to make communication a two-way street, which enables her success with non-traditional dog sports breeds.
